Universities: Griffith or U o Queensland?
Hotel / Tourism Management Master. Which uni is nicer, I heard reputaion is the same. So, which campuses are good? Nathan, Gold Coast for Griffith – St Lucia for Uni of Queensland? I like family/history style environment/building…
I haven’t visited Griffith’s Gold Coast campus but I’ve done a Masters in Science at Griffith’s Nathan campus and a law degree at UofQ at St Lucia. Nathan is surrounded by the protected Toohey Forest and prides itself as doing its best to blend into the forest – as it’s much more recent than UofQ, it has no old buildings and, because it’s fairly spread out with lots of bush around, I always thought it had a strange sort of feel to it – I couldn’t put my finger on it, but it didn’t really feel like a uni campus.
Out of those, I would recommend UofQ, as it has some beautiful historic buildings, has a well laid out campus and has that intangible thing where it ‘feels’ like you’re at a real Uni!
