Help on a cheap central Sydney hostel to stay in?
Hi Guys!
Me and my lovely boyfriend are travelling to Australia in Dececmber. We will be arriving in Melbourne on December 12th landing at 00:10 (can you tell im excited) where will will settle… For a few days! Then it’s off to Sydney for New Year and a spot of Cricket
We will be in Sydney from Dececmber 28th – 8th January, after we have watched England thrash Australia in the Ashes (joking)
Does anyone have any information on cheap hostels in the area.. The cheaper the better really, a friendly, fun hostel is what we are after. And as there are so many, we are pretty lost.. So im looking for any hidden gems!
Also we are staying in Melbourne for 6 months and hope to stay in a hostel there while we work, could anyone help us out with this? Hoping to stay in the St Kilda area, but we are really open to anything

In Sydney try Maze Backpackers at 417 Pitt Street. They are cheap, cheerful and central with plenty of freebies !
St.Kilda ? Habitat HQ Hostel at 333 Saint Kilda Rd, St.Kilda. It’s friendly, well run and cosy, as well as being close to everything.
