Getting a taxi in Melbourne CBD at 5.30am?
I was wondering if it was possible to get a taxi in Melbourne around 5.30 in the morning?
Will be visiting there for a few days, staying on Spencer Street. Have a 6am appointment at a location several blocks away from my hotel.
Although it’s not really that far, I’m not very fond of the idea of walking alone in the early morning hours in unfamiliar territory. Thus I would rather get a taxi.
Are there any taxi stations around the Spencer St Station area? Or should I just get my hotel to arrange a pick up for me? And how much would it cost, roughly?
Your hotel will do it for you, assuming it has a 24 hour front desk. Otherwise you can telephone a taxi company and a cab will come to your hotel.
